The organisational structure

The family unit with its own rights and duties is the smallest cell within our community which our founder saw as "a family for families". His vision was "the new person in the new community", one who stands out with his/her continuously new motivation and responsibility, having more freedom rather than being tied by duties and rules.

This is reflected within the structure of our community. Every couple is integrated in two ways:

  • 1. Within the "free community" (course), providing a space for more freedom and individual responsibility.
  • 2. Within the "official community" (regions), providing attachment and security in a lifestyle with a combined and agreed form.
The governing function of the official community is within the hands of a superior couple who regard themselves within the family structure as parents of the community, since we see ourselves as "a family of families".

A superior couple with their counsellor family(s) govern the community within a regional/national structure.

The governing function of the Institute on an international basis is fulfilled by the superior general couple and their counsellor families. They are elected at the general chapter which holds and exerts the highest form of authority within the Institute. This body also elects the spiritual assistant.
